Our Treatments

Our experienced specialists are here to work in collaboration with you to provide seed treatments that are appropriate for your crops, cultivation practices, and environmental conditions

Latitude

As take-all is a soil-borne fungus the most effective chemical control comes from a seed treatment. Currently the only specialist take-all seed treatment available is Latitude which should be used where ever a risk of take-all has been identified:
  • Second and third wheat
  • Winter Barley, Triticale or spring wheat following a cereal
  • First wheat after, non-cropped land or a spring cereal or even after breakcrops which followed overwintered stubbles with cereal volunteers or grass weeds
Recent seasons have favoured take-all, as have trends towards earlier drilling of subsequent cereals and tighter cereal crop rotations.

Yield and quality

Latitude has recovered half to two-thirds of the yield lost to take-all in second and third wheats in more than 800 UK and European trials over the last seven years. It is likely to be cost-effective wherever take-all is a problem.

Manganese

Manganese Seed Treatment is a unique, flowable manganese product in very highly concentrated form. The seed dresser is able to distribute the material evenly throughout the batch and apply it in conjunction with other seed treatments. Treated seed runs easily through the drill and there is no adverse effect upon germination. Manganese Seed Treatment is also suitable for all legumes, especially peas, where Manganese deficiency not only reduces yield but also causes 'marsh spot' which affects quality and therefore rejection by the processor.

Manganese Seed Treatment applied to the seed
will ensure a good supply of this essential nutrient right from
the start. As a result root development is improved.
Manganese Seed Treatment will help crop
establishment especially in a poor seed bed. Plant uptake
and translocation to new growth is excellent. The risk of
frost damage is reduced and the well-nourished crop is
better able to resist disease. Manganese seed treatment
in combination with a fungicide has shown, in trials, to
increase yield more than the fungicide seed treatment on
its own.

Manganese Seed Treatment usually costs about
the same per acre as a foliar spray but it is the only certain
manganese source in the critical early stages. Its value on
crops sown in the autumn and in the spring will be immense.

Rancona i-MIX

Rancona i-MIX is a novel micro-emulsion (ME) seed treatment formulation containing 20g/l ipconazole + 50g/l imazalil. These two complimentary active ingredients give useful broad spectrum fungicidal activity against seed borne diseases in wheat and barley.

Product Use

Broad spectrum fungicide seed treatment for use against seed borne pathogens on wheat and barley.

Redigo Pro

Redigo Pro ensures sound establishment in all varieties of winter and spring wheat, providing a healthy crop to build on for high yield potential. It is also suitable for durum wheat, winter and spring oats and barley, rye and triticale.

Redigo Pro protects against all important seed- and soil-borne wheat diseases. Its two advanced actives work together by acting inside germinating seedlings
Seedling blight and stem base browning
Improves the health of stem bases by reducing symptoms caused by Microdochium nivale and Fusarium spp.
Loose Smut
Caused by Ustilago nuda fsp. tritici and U. avenae (U. nuda fsp. hordei in winter and spring barley)
Blue mould
(Penicillium spp.)
Ergot
Reduces germination of treated ergot particles
Leaf Stripe
Partial control of Pyrenophora graminea in winter and spring barley (not crops grown for multiplication)
Seed- and soil-borne bunt
(Infections of Tilletia caries)
